The Douglas County Historical Society will be hosting the 3rd Annual Hotdish Bake-Off and Silent Auction Fundraiser – but this year the event will look different. Instead of an in-person “Bake Off,” our 2021 event will be an at-home community “Bake Along.” We are asking for local recipes to fill a small local-hotdish-only cookbook that will be the guide for the Bake Along.
We are asking for local churches, schools, care organizations, and community groups to send us a hotdish recipe that best represents their group.
There is no cost to submitting a recipe. In our current plan, organizations will have two pages in the cookbook – one to share their history, services, and other information, and a facing page containing their recipe. A mockup is included below, though the final event and layout may change.
If you are interested in participating, please include:
- A photo representing your organization
- A 100-word blurb about your organization
- Your organization’s best hotdish recipe
Information should be emailed to email@example.com by January 25th, 2021.
In place of event tickets, the cookbooks will be sold to benefit the Douglas County Historical Society. At this time, the exact dates and cookbook cost are still in flux until the number of recipes and cookbooks can be determined. A virtual silent auction will also be included in the Bake Along.
