Come and enjoy the annual Spruce Hill Summer Song Fest at the beautiful, historic Spruce Hill Church in northeast Douglas County, Minnesota, Sunday, June 23, 2019. The event starts at 1:00 pm
This year’s event includes a special presentation of “Voices from the Hillside: An Anthology on Spruce Hill Church and its Cemetery”. Prose and Poetry written and performed by Marjorie Van Gorp, with introductions by Paulette Friday and musical accompaniment by Patty Kakak.
1:00 pm – “Voices from the Hillside” followed by the Gordon Men’s Choir and Congregational Favorites Sing-a-Long.
The Gordon Men’s Chorus will sing and then lead us in our favorite hymns.
Following the Song Fest, enjoy an “early supper” picnic at nearby Spruce Hill County Park. Norwegian fjord horse-drawn wagon rides from the church to the park are furnished by Jesse Lusty.
A free will offering for both activities is much appreciated.
