Oct. 28, 2014: Stories of Douglas County Homesteaders: a powerpoint and talk featuring Douglas county early history, and these families: Anders and Dorthea Olsen, the Winkjer family, Amund Larson of Nelson, MN, and the Urness brothers, Civil War soldiers, and their various backgrounds as they eventually made their way to Douglas County after the Civil War. Dec. 5, 2014: Our much anticipated annual Holiday Ethnic Bake Sale and Open House, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Buy your favorites for the Holidays, stop by for coffee and treats, and check out Knute Nelson’s wonderful historic house.
Dec. 13, 2014: Holly Jolly Kids’ Christmas, 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Details in the newsletter (linked above). Holiday stories, traditions, crafts and snacks. Cost $10 per child, space is limited. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations: Call 320-762-0382.
Dec. 28, 2014: Spruce Hill Christmas, 2:00 pm at the Spruce Hill Church.
